Kung Hei Fat Choy & Happy Valentine’s Day!

It’s Chinese New Year today! Wish everyone a prosperous new year! May all your wishes come true and have a safe Year of Tiger!

Not only is today the Chinese New Year, it’s also Valentine’s Day. So I’d also like to wish everyone a loving, caring and romantic Valentine’s Day with your loved ones.

My relatives came over to our place around noon to ‘bai nian’ and we also had lunch together. Mum prepared a very nice vegetarian meal for us! It’s her ritual every year to have only vegetarian on Day 1 of the CNY. Our relatives left around 3. Soon after that, my brother went out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend, then my parents went out to meet their friends. I’m now home watching DVD. Such a peaceful day! Getting a bit sleepy now, gonna have a nap… laters~

All the best!

Family Dinner at Shenzhen

Aunt Shan & Uncle Ken came to Hong Kong for visit! It’s been many years since we last met. They haven’t been in Hong Kong for 4 years and I haven’t been in Hong Kong for 6 years before coming back early last year… I’ll leave the maths with you, but it has definitely been many years.

We caught up over dinner about a week ago in Causeway Bay but since I didn’t have my camera with me last time, I guess it’s time to take come photos with them.

My parents and their whole family including the grannies went for a 4 day eating trip in China. So we met up in Shenzhen to have dinner on their way back. Thomas, my brother, booked a table at this Sichuan restaurant in Futian. I got there first and got the room ready for them.

Thats all of them...

That's all of them...

Thomas got here as we were ordering food and since he knows their menu quite well, he suggested a few nice dishes. By the way, this was the exact same restaurant we came to for Father’s Day.

Everyone enjoyed dinner and we had so much to talk about. We stayed there till about 20:30, left the restaurant and we all took the Shenzhen subway, don’t know what it’s called. Haha… After crossing the Futian Custom, we took separate ways home. We’re supposed to meet up again for dinner before they leave for Canada again, but I might not be able to attend as I’ll be in China that night. Hope we can meet up again soon!
