Family Dinner at Shenzhen

Aunt Shan & Uncle Ken came to Hong Kong for visit! It’s been many years since we last met. They haven’t been in Hong Kong for 4 years and I haven’t been in Hong Kong for 6 years before coming back early last year… I’ll leave the maths with you, but it has definitely been many years.

We caught up over dinner about a week ago in Causeway Bay but since I didn’t have my camera with me last time, I guess it’s time to take come photos with them.

My parents and their whole family including the grannies went for a 4 day eating trip in China. So we met up in Shenzhen to have dinner on their way back. Thomas, my brother, booked a table at this Sichuan restaurant in Futian. I got there first and got the room ready for them.

Thats all of them...

That's all of them...

Thomas got here as we were ordering food and since he knows their menu quite well, he suggested a few nice dishes. By the way, this was the exact same restaurant we came to for Father’s Day.

Everyone enjoyed dinner and we had so much to talk about. We stayed there till about 20:30, left the restaurant and we all took the Shenzhen subway, don’t know what it’s called. Haha… After crossing the Futian Custom, we took separate ways home. We’re supposed to meet up again for dinner before they leave for Canada again, but I might not be able to attend as I’ll be in China that night. Hope we can meet up again soon!

@Jane_Paris’s 22nd Birthday Party

A lingerie and pajamas party! A well-thought-of birthday party for @Jane_Paris’s 22nd! Held at the Antique Bar on a Friday night after a week’s work was just perfect! I was home before the party. Although it was long anticipated, my body wasn’t really up for it. I was just lazing at home and couldn’t get my arse moving. At about 22:00, I knew I had to take a shower and get changed. Even though I’m supposed to be dressed in my pajamas.

So I got ready and hopped onto a bus. I was on my way. I was still feeling a bit tired as I got to the building as I bumped into Nat and Alan. I was so tired that I didn’t really know how to respond.

As we walked into the party and started seeing familiar faces, I finally woke up!

@Jane_Paris and @doublechin were in their lingerie outfit! They were HOT!!! There were others in their lingerie and pajamas too!

I immediately looked for @martin_tintin as I knew that he’s already there. We took some photos and the girls introduced me to other TBs that I’ve been following, @anflam and @lankwaifong! Nice meeting you guys in person finally!

Most of the Heroes were there too!

I was told that I’ve missed @clawang since she’s got another party to go to. I’m sure I’ll get to meet you some other day tb!

It was such a great party and we all had fun! Kept drinking till they stopped the ‘all-you-can-drink’ open bar… Eventually left the party at about 4 in the morning. By the time I got home, the sun was already up! I bumped into a terrible traffic accident on my way home. Well, let’s not get into that.

Great party @Jane_Paris!!! Happy Birthday TB!!! And great idea @doublechin!!!

GlamCham Four @ Halo

What the hell is GlamCham? Apparently, it’s a bi-monthly event organized by the HK Magazine. The whole idea was to give its attendees

a chance to mingle, network, or just unwind with some familiar faces!

Anyhow, I met up with Nat and Pius just outside Halo and although there were some trouble getting in (with the bouncers of course), we finally got in after a few minutes of checking the RSVP list.

Not after long, Jesse joined us and we had a great night! Yes, the drinks were on the house! Woohoo!

GlamCham Four @ Halo

I don’t think we had anymore drinks after the open bar and we left as people started leaving the place. Pius and I went for a quick bite after the girls were all in their cabs home. I even went over to Causeway Bay after supper to catch up with Teddy and Gary.

After catching up with Teddy, Gary and I get to meet a friend in person for the first time and we took a cab home together. Gary and I even went for another dim sum supper with Gary after we’ve dropped her off and we bumped into the most bizarre incident. A guy was so drunk that he got into a real fight with his girlfriend and close friends. Eventually, the cops and ambulance had to turn up and put him down! This guy was banging on a shop’s metal gates with his bare fist and blood was everywhere! How stupid was that?

Yep, the cops had him on the ground...

Well… Well… Well… It was almost 3 in the morning, so we took off and went home. It was indeed a very interesting night… :P

Business Trip to Shenzhen

It’s my first time joining our company’s seminars in Shenzhen and I was really excited about it! I’ve been saying that I wanted to expand my business into Mainland China and here we are! Because it’s our first time, Ronny and Gary came along too! We were all very excited about the opportunities this brings! Yay!

Heres Gary...

We all have appointments back Hong Kong, so we didn’t stay long after the seminar. Nevertheless, it was a good experience to meet new people! It also gave us some fairly interesting facts about the investment atmosphere in Mainland China! Well done Convoy Group!

2nd Trailwalker Training – MacLehose Trail (Section 1 & 2)

It’s been a while since our last Trailwalker training and seems like we’re a bit slack with it. Anyhow, I woke up late that morning and Ryan had to wait for me for almost 45 minutes. I’m so sorry…

It’s definitely not the best weather for training. It was raining like hell when I was on my way out. We met up in Mongkok then immediately went over to Sai Kung to meet up with other colleagues.

Once we’ve got everyone, we started! The views were magnificent along Section 1, which circulates the reservoir. Here’s and overflow outlet and a tower.

At a point, we were overlooking the Water Sports Centre where I went for my sailing training. I wanted to take photos back then but since we were on the cab, we couldn’t. Now’s the time!

Nice huh?

Nice huh?

After another 10 minutes walk, we came up to this small sand island in the middle of the reservoir. The water was so clear that I cannot resist taking a photo of it.

Its so clear...

It's so clear...

Once we’ve passed this point, it started raining again. And it just got heavier and heavier. There were times when the rain was coming at us almost horizontally. We had to stop and rest for a bit and the moment the rain stopped, the view was again very nice.

Just after the rain...

Just after the rain...

There was a cab right in front of us at this point and to be honest, we were tempted to hop on. Anyway, we kept going.

Up the mountain we went and before we know, we arrived at Long Ke Beach. It’s such a beautiful sanctuary!

The rain just wouldn’t stop and the path were getting really muddy and slippery. I couldn’t have the camera in my hand anymore. But we came to another magnificent beach and I insist to take a photo with Ryan. We had to somehow hold the umbrella and protect the camera to take this shot!

Check out how soaked we were… It really wasn’t funny…

Were so soaked...

We're so soaked...

Because I’ve been taking photos along the way, Ryan and I were so left behind that we’re on our own most of the time. Other colleagues couldn’t wait for us and had left by the time we’re still in the middle of no where.

After the walk, we had a quick lunch at Sai Kung then went straight home to sleep. Again, I slept throughout Saturday and Sunday to recover…
