Sunday 18 January 2009 was just another day for most people and it was for me too. I was drinking with my friends at a bar called Deluxe from about 23:30 the night before. Most of my best friends were there, including Bennett who’s now based in Singapore. We all chatted and played those usual drinking games. Didn’t really drink heaps because I knew that I’ll get sick after drinking too much.

Martin brought his Panasonic DMC-LX3 together with his Nikon flash so we were able to take some really nice photos. Thank you Martin!

The thing about this day is that I’ve entered a new era of my life, the fourth decade of my life. There’s a saying within the company where I work, more of a slogan of the company, really. ‘What have you accumulated in the past 10 golden years?’ I started questioning myself… ‘What have I accumulated?’

Seems like a fairly simple and straight forward question isn’t it? Yes indeed it is. However, I can’t answer it!

So, here’s my birthday wish. ‘Be proactive in everything I do!’ Doesn’t sound like a wish, does it? Well, I’ve never really believed in wishes, in fact I don’t think I’ve wished for anything and had the wish granted without putting in any effort. So rather than wishing for a particular ‘thing’, my wish is to be proactive in everything I do, so that I’ll get the results I intended or at least close to what I intended.

Anyways, it was really great to catch up with my best mates on the night. On Sunday, I had dinner with my family at Causeway Bay. Since it’s also my younger brother’s birthday as well. We went to a Japanese restaurant behind SOGO department store. The owner of the restaurant is my mum’s friend and she made us (my brother & I) a birthday cake, a blueberry cheesecake. It was really nice!

After dinner, I received a birthday present. OMG~! It’s the Panasonic DMC-LX3 digital camera!!! Seriously, OMG~! I was so happy as I didn’t expect it as a gift!!! In fact, I almost went to buy it myself right after dinner. If I did, I’d end up with 2 exact same cameras! Thank you so much!!! I love it!!!
